After contemplating some new kit for a while I managed somehow to get a rather hastily arranged fitting at Celtic Manor this evening, and I have to say what a great experience it was!! Anthony, the fitter, was superb and even gave me a little of his own time after we finished to make sure I was sure about everything!

The main requirement was some new irons and after having very similar results on the AP2's and, rather surprisingly the CB's, I went for the former due mainly to the fact that on my off day's I hope they'll be slightly more forgiving? Very close call though!!

Specs are: 3-P/W, Std loft & Lie, 2° down, Project X 6.0 shafts, with good old Tour Velvet grips with 2 layers of tape. I had an extra SM4 wedge in a 58° set up as per the rest, oil can finish. I have a couple of other SM4's purchased last year that I shall now re-shaft to maintain the consistency.

I then moved on to the 913 Driver, and whilst my current 910D2 has been great I wanted to lower the flight and gain some distance. Therefore I ended up ordering a D2, 8.5° with an Adila RIP S shaft which addressed both problems.

We tried my current 910 FD, F & Hybrid, all relatively new, and still happy with the results at present.

Fantastic evening, well worth the drive from the Midlands and back.
