Hi, I'm going to get fitted for my next set of clubs and  I'm seriously thinking about Titleist irons and woods. My father had a fitting for a set from another manufacturer in the past from a dealer of those clubs, but after using them for a season wasn't that impressed. He took them to his club pro who checked out the angles and measurements and found that they were a set of standard clubs , not the ones he had order. So being a bit cautious now, I would like to know if Titleist keeps a record of any made to measure clubs for individuals that  order through their registered fitting centres.

    Thanks.

    Hi Chris,

The short answer is yes. If you get fitted and order a set of custom clubs, they are stamped or etched on the hosel with a serial number - this is then traceable through our system in terms of adjustments made to length, loft, lie, grip changes, swingweight changes, etc.

I would thoroughly recommend getting custom fitted, as ensuring that you have the right set up for your swing will enhance your enjoyment of the game.

    Hope this helps.

Ok, thanks for the info. I should be going for a fitting, once I've had a bit of practise after my winter layoff.
