Just wanted to record my thanks for a very useful and informative visit to St. Ives last week.

I travelled almost 200 miles from the North East together with my daughter Alex so that she could have a full two hour fitting for a complete set. I took the opportunity to book myself an hour for a driver specific fitting.

I have really suffered with the big stick this season and although I knew that i had to have some lessons, i had lost confidence in my own driver and thought a new one professionally fitted may cure some of the issues. (Fade to Full Slice, Sky.......).

I had a full hour with a very patient Paul Thompson who explained very clearly the results we were seeing and the impact that the various shafts I was trying were having. Paul gave me honest feedback on my current swing characteristics and how these were impacting on the ball flight. I discovered that not only was i swinging 'out to in' but was also striking the ball in a downward motion.

Whilst all of the Titleist driver/shaft combinations produced better results than my own, Paul felt that I could achieve so much more with an improved swing path and he was able to use the Trackman Data to back this up.

As I was already committed to working with a Professional over the winter to improve my swing, Paul advised a return visit in the Spring as the driver/shaft most suitable now may not be the best combination with an improved swing.

It was a long day and a lot of miles but absolutely worth it, no hard sell and no miracle cures just good honest feedback and accurate data. It has given me added motivation to make swing improvements and I look forward to a return in Spring.
