Hi guys, I got a "loan" of an old Scotty putter from my asst. pro and I really really like it and my putting is almost like a pro.

I can not miss from anywhere inside 10 feet and 3 putts are a thing of the past, from anywhere, scrap that like stuff, I am in love with it. I'd like to marry my putter but the shaft is a bit rough and pitted from sitting in a garage for a few years without any TLC.

I'd like to know how I can bring her back to a better state? Should I use some kind of a compound or something to smooth and shine the shaft?
