    I am a 49 year old 1 h-cap, I.vegot a set or 714 CB 4,5,6 714mb 7,8,9,Pw. NSP pro 105 stiff I have a swing speed of 86 mph.i hit my 7iron 155yds maximum. Can anyone suggest a project X shaft that would give me some extra length on my irons without trying to swing harder. All my clubs were new and fitted by Titleist at Kings Acre and Graeme Noblett did a fantastic job. I only got this set 3 months ago, you're advice would be much appreciated .

    Hi Lindsay, I have the same shafts in a miz head. Its a mid-high launch shaft so for that swing speed is more or less optimal! If you go Project x you will lose height and probably carry distance too. I would suggest trying the KBS tour 90 shafts in S flex. Ive just had those fitted to another set to replace Dynamic Golds which were too low. This has increased swing speed from 89mph on a 6 iron to 92/93mph and carry by 8-12 yards per club just because of the extra launch. Give KBS Tour 90 a trial at a fitting or even True temper XP 95s. Id guess the lighter weight will help you too.

    So similar to me 49 years old +1 handicap, 88 mph 7 iron 157, I've just been fitted AP2's 716 with Project X 6.0, I reckon they would be good fit based on your stats!
