Used the prototype ball during my round this weekend and wanted to feedback.

I use the Prov1 these days, having made the switch from the Prov1X a couple of seasons ago so it was interesting to see the comparison and, for me, the progression in the 1X.

Conditions were damp, spongy and quite cold (although great to get a full round in December!). Handicap of 7.6.

First thing I noticed was increased spin with the driver; I hit the ball high as it is but the ball launched from club head in a way that I've not seen before, really flush contact and about 305 yards with no wind.

Short irons weren't great during the round unfortunately so didn't do this test too much justice! Again though, increased spin and just a lovely feel from the ball.

I've always preferred the V1 on the greens but the prototype ball was excellent and smooth post-contact.

All in all definitely a ball I'd look to play again and it'd make me switch back I think. I'll try again this weekend and hopefully can feedback more on the approach irons.
