1. Same as you Use 1 ball for the whole
2. Break a 100
3. Same as you not card a 8 or worse
4. Frustrate my playing partner less.
5. Win club championship.

Not sure where you are but if near the west Sussex area quite happily hack round with you.

Best of luck on your goals for the coming season but with regards to 2 + 4 you are already good enough to play with another golfer. We have all been there :)

The sooner you play with others the better for yourself. I am a single figure golfer and my playing partners are off 4, 20 and 27.

Good luck Andy. If you're not already a member of a club or society , I would suggest joining one and trying to get in a few rounds with other players. There is no such thing as not being able "to play well enough to play with other players". Try to schedule rounds at times when the course is not too busy and play with a fellow golfer who plays slightly better than you...this will help improve your game.

OK, so I have just purchased some AP1 716's, a couple of Vokey wedges (52* and 60*) to go into my Titleist StaDry bag, I have a StaDry hat and Titleist umbrella, along with some Footjoy DNA shoes, seems like I'm ready for the British summer time :)
Luckily the clubs will arrive on Wednesday which is a day that my wife is out from 0600hrs to 2000hrs so I can take them over to the club and hit (scuff) a few range balls.
I am booked in for a round (alone) at 1500hrs today but the forecast isn't looking good on the weather front ironically.
Have found a playing partner for the season who only started playing a few years ago and have a round booked in next Saturday, the 8th, hopefully break 120 :)
To complete the Titleist 'look' I cannot but any clothing by the looks of it, will have to buy Footjoy shirts ?
Do you guys use club head covers for your irons or is it just more hassle than its worth ?
Will continue to update you on my progress, not that you are interested but it will give me a record of how I am doing :) :)

So two rounds this weekend, the first was a 119 which I was happy with the second round was lost on the first two holes with a 9 and an 11 on par 4s ;) But at least I'm trying.

So I have beaten the 120 mark twice in two rounds, 119 on Sunday and 103 this evening. I used one ball all the way around too. Did put a 9 on the card though, not double figures and the 9 included two cuffed shots, so happy with that. Unfortunately I played alone again tonight so no witnesses but only playing against yourself anyway, even when playing with a partner.
Sorry for the self promoting post but I'm chuffed with my Titleist purchases.

Just purchased a Scotty Newport 2 putter, just a driver and a 3 to go before I am all Titleist and Footjoy :)

First round booked tomorrow at 0700hrs with a stranger :).

Played every morning this week at 0700hrs. !
Getting a lot better since I got the new AP1's (which in turn made me buy a fairway hybrid 24 degree, a 12 degree D2 driver, a couple of Vokey wedges, and a Scotty putter)
Going around between 103-115, a round without a 8 has be achieved too.
Even booked into my first society golf day on the 24th of May :)

New targets for this year now get a handicap, and still win the club championship :) :) :) :)

Try to not add pressure to yourself as I said in my original post I play in a regular 4 ball 2 of us are single figures and the other two are both 20+. This really is a game for all so keep on playing with different people if you can as it does help you.
