Yesterday I was lucky enough to play in Barclays charity golf day at Moor Allerton Golf Club with three colleagues from work. Greeted with a sleeve of DT Trusoft, we had a quick look at the prizes that were on offer.... all the golf gear was Titleist, but Unfortunately we didn't win anything. We scored a mid-table 77 points and the winners had 86! We all had a go at 'beat the pro' on a par 3 where he teed off and we had go get inside his shot to double our money; I stiffed it to about a foot, but ended up donating my winnings to their chosen charity.
It's the first time I've played at Moor Allerton and what a superb set up it is, if a little challenging. The greens are like glass with more slopes and borrows than Augusta!
Most enjoyable!
