I keep it simple and use a towel and a tee whilst playing. I wet the bottom of the towel and give any club used a quick wipe after every shot before putting it back.
I then clean the grooves of my irons and wedges with a tee before using as part of my ore-shot routine.
After every round I check every club and give them a good going over with mildly soapy water then really getting the grooves clean with a cocktail stick.
Grips always get a wipe with a wet cloth and are towelled dry and approx once a month get a good scrub with a brush and soapy water followed by a rinse and again towelled dry.

I use warm water a drop of fairy a toothbrush for the groves and a cloth and one of the best tea towels to dry them.

Warm water with a little fairy liquid, grove cleaner tool for get them spotless and a couple of tea towels to dry fully.
Then the clubs and bag placed in front of the heater lol.
Then it’s the footjoy shoes turn,
Washed, cleaned, and polished with footjoy shoe polish!
Job done ready for the golf the next day!

Pretty much as Steve above except that I use a soft nail brush in my after-game cleaning regime rather than a cocktail stick. The brushes are 3 for £1 in Tesco so it's not expensive.
I regard the club cleaning as final part of the day - I was always the same with my kit for other sports - maybe I am the exception but there it is. Look after your equipment and it will look after you...
I have to fess up that I use iron covers as I don't like dings in my irons. It devalues them and I can't see that it's either cool or more professional to have damaged clubs.
I have mates who never clean their bats from one month to the next... unless we are going abroad, when the accumulated mud could incur Excess Baggage!

A drop of warm water and soft nail brush or soft pot scrub brush is what I usually use.

I’m a little O.C.D with my clubs and clean them before every round otherwise if I have a bad round I’ll blame it on playing with dirty clubs ‍♂️ I use hot water with some of the cleaner the mrs buys for mopping the floors and a brush then I dry the club using a microfibre cloth.they always come up nice and shiny perfect for the O.C.D

Didn’t clean the clubs for today’s game and played like *** my pair still won our little match play game but it was a scrappy game !!

Same method since I started playing golf. Works for me.

As above mild water good soak, old tooth brush and possible light rub with pan scrub to face and grips, don’t forget your muddy balls

Yes, as above, toothbrush with water and fairy up liquid(I called it that when I was a kid )
Dry with a soft towel.
More so now with the wet muddy conditions.

Fairy liquid, warm water, tooth brush and dry with a towel. Putter gets a Brillo pad to remove any rust then sprayed with WD40 and rubbed down with a Scotty oil cloth

Same as most on here, warm water with some washing up liquid.

I’d have to agree good old fashioned washing up liquid and a soft nail brush. I also use a microfibre towel when on the course, I find it gets in the grooves better, to keep those wedges spinning.

Always a good clean and dry after the round, once a month a solid clean and wipe through of the grooves with a groove cleaner. Grips are washed and scrubbed with rough nail brush and towel dried.

If i am running the grooves with a tool a quick squirt of wd-40 keeps them fresh especially on forged heads.

I clean the heads after ever round in a bucket of cold water and a dishwashing brush, before drying them off with a towel, just to clean the grooves ready for the next round. I clean the grips probably every other month with some warm water, washing up liquid and a sponge.

Clean mine after every round... washing up bowl with water and drop of washing up liquid.

Use a washing up brush to scrub in this order:

All grips first, dab off excess and allow to dry naturally.
Driver, fairways, get any dirt off face and sole with brush and wipe all over with cloth. Once a month I loosen he shaft and make sure nothing in corroding (had adjustable clubs before that have and nightmare to get loose again).


Irons and putter are left to soak in the water which doesn't come up to hosel, then they get the brush treatment and then dried making sure no water in the cavity back. A few swings usually clears this.

Headcovers and bag get a wipe over if needed.

Shoes are next and leather is wiped with a baby wipe before putting away (tip I was given form Adidas a few years ago) as this helps keep the leather soft and plastics shiny and if you wipe the inside it stops smells..


Once I've done all this it's time for another ound

Warm water with fairy liquid , dry them with a clean towel.
