    I've previously been to an independent club fitter and tried the TS2 and was getting 15-20 yard gain from my current 917D2 but not made the jump yet as I can't afford it.

    However, on my way out of the driving range last night the guys in the adjoining American Golf store asked me if I wanted to give their TS Project challenge for most yards gained. As I knew how good the new woods were I thought I'd give it a shot.

    I tried the TS2 head and was getting 18-20 yard improvement but tried the TS3 head with a different shaft and managed to get my gains up to 25 yards and 10mph ball speed!!

    You only get 3 hits each and the dispersion wasn't as good with the TS3 I'm sure I could fine tune it for maximum gains and playability.

    I am currently the shop leader, with the regional winner getting a £300 AG voucher. If I win, I'm definitely going to go back for a proper fitting to upgrade my driver.

    I tried the TS3 3wood as well and that was going the same distance as my old driver. The TS metals are crazy!

    Looks great also nice gains but what’s the chance of someone swinging slower first purposefully then cranking it up for the TS work good luck hope a TT member wins it

    My club speed did increase by 1mph but I reckon that was due to a different shaft rather than trying to hit harder.

    However, afterwards when I was looking at the previous records on the board I thought the same about someone holding back with their own driver and then going all out for the TS shots but the AG I went to used a Trackman so the club head speed would have shown that up. I think most other stores just use simulators, so not sure if they can show club speed.

    Bizarrely in the past few weeks I seem to have lost distance. For ages I was booming it but just now I can clearly see how much a difference than before, may be I'm not hitting it well but a bit concerning.

    Starting to nail mines now......thank f#*; I was getting worried I made the wrong expensive decision..........now I just need to work on my par 3’s there’s always something.

    I've been blown away by my TS3. Longest driver I have ever gamed but just as forgiving as my 917D2.

    Well a little change in set p this afternoon on the range and I'm back booming them again, strange game this.

    Higher ball speed, extra distance, better dispersion - all from a custom fitting on a TS3 fairway wood, compared to my existing 915Fd - loving Titleist Thursday's Thursday 23rd fitting( Big shout to Chris C - fitter)
