I was tempted to hit some drives wind with! But just as I was working the mojo to go course was shut! Got a round booked In Wednesday looks sunny and dry

I played Saturday morning, wasn’t as cold as I expected but was very windy.

225 yard par 3 with wind behind was a 6 iron to front edge
370 yard par 4 into wind was a driver and 4hy to 20 yards short

Definitely wasn’t the best day for a bogey/birdie competition but we managed to fight our way through.

Turned up at the course this morning for our roll-up and not a sole there. Beautiful morning so had to spend an hour on the short game ready for tomorrows match.

Just checked the booking system and only 7 ventured out plus a society...Millionaires golf.

It's tipping it down this afternoon....

Played Saturday, luckily the wind didn’t really pick up for us till we were well into the back 9 , so had a lucky escape

Only managed 9 holes this morning, blowing a gale then rain came after eight so played 9 then came in for a full breakfast so not all bad

Played 18 in Winter League yesterday. One of our courses defences is the wind and yesterday it was a real hoolie blowing as from SW and not the normal W. And after heavy rain the day before fairways and greens were soft.

Into wind of SI 1, 2, & 3 and watch balls start missing one side of fairway and ending 20 yards off the other. Balls were even moving in the wind on the fairways let alone on the greens

Played mostly to handicap but lost 2&1 with opponents winning 6 holes (4 with birdies, 1). Had 4 NR holes 3 where wind blew drives offline and into trouble.

Enjoyable and challenging round.

Beautiful day today but course closed due to still being under a load of snow!!

And Dennis has prevented any golf this weekend- needed to practice before a comp next weekend so guess it will just be an earlier start next Saturday to hit more balls!
