Hopefully no time soon John, my course has made a few adjustments to try and keep it going, spacing out tee times, bunkers GUR as they’ve taking in the rakes and pins so nobody touches them, no swapping cards you just mark your partners card, both don’t need to sign it,I think the cup is either going to be turned upside down or sticking up an inch and you just need to hit it, no handshakes..........not great but it’s still golf.......kinda.

I don't really see it happening but I could be wrong. I hope I'm right tho lol a lot of my local courses have made changes with taking rakes away etc putting with flags in no hand shaking. Hope it all blows over soon. Stay safe guys

I think all courses are doing the same, it seems good H & S practice. It is the club house that will suffer, we have all agreed that we will meet on the tee and not have breakfast or lunch after our rounds.

my local course have followed suit, have to putt with pin in, only social golf (no comps) rakes removed from bunkers so they are out of play. we also have to book tee times throughout the day (used to have members times where you could rock up and play)

my course has followed suit with most, putting with pin in, rakes removed from bunkers so flatten sand with feet! Bar has closed but can take your own food and drink to have after round on benches! The golf course has also opened for a free round to Anyone on Mondays for the next month to help with exercise during times of social isolation!

Same as above round here, no rakes in bunkers, raised cups. Club house providing takeaway service only and all comps cancelled for the foreseeable future.
    Hopefully if things remain sensible
golf must be seen as one of the most practical forms of exercise especially with the closures of all gyms, leisure centres etc. from today.
Fingers crossed we can continue to play over the coming months to allow us to keep our sanity during the increasing periods of social isolation we're all going to face.

    We got out today.

Course was so busy. Local courses were closed and they descended on us.

Cups had disks added to the flag sticks to ease picking the ball out. See photos below. Club house was closed with one in one out of needed to use the Toilets.

Course was in great nick, though trolley breaking down was not a good start, luckily had pencil bag with. Green just been fertilised hence state of my putter. All washed and cleaned now. Took out my 54 sm5 as thinking about getting 54 in sm8 and gapping seemed spot on.

Managed to get some photos of my set up.

  11. I think within the week we (UK) will be on lockdown, so I imagine no golf.

I can see this happening too unfortunately as people aren’t listening to the social distancing, it was a nice day today (Sunday) and our local beach was very busy with people having picnics etc..........
  13. My club had a medal competition today.
Unfortunately I am in high risk group due to having crohn's disease so no golf for me for the foreseeable future.

    Stay safe guys

Sutton Hall GC just off the M56 has shut permanently.
It's been up for sale for a while but has now closed down.
Potentially the first of a number of closures. This virus will have economic impacts and we should expect golf to be impacted.

  15. As of Monday in the States all near me are done with no eta of opening. Got my last round in Sunday

Unfortunately my course closed today. Over the past few weeks certain measures had been put in place, just like the above really.

Today I received a email informing me that my course had closed till further notice.

I guess we are all in the same position and will just have to wait till our clubs get in contact regarding opening.

    Stay Safe TT fans.
