Dear TT, Titleist, Vokey, Scotty FJ and anyone else connected to Achushnet

I've recent entered a local sweep draw for a TT Alignment Stick cover in the UK with some of the money going to charity, I didn't win which is fine the money went to charity, but found out the covers are available to order in the US, but only have shipped to the US address, being from UK this isn't possible. So are you saying the US are the only important members of TT community when these items become available to purchase?

I know the idea of TT is a community, where we all share our golfing highs, low, funny stories and also discuss equipment, but there are a lots of members across the world that would like to have some form of TT merchandise and show we are part of that community. We can go to each of the other members of Achushnet and by various accessories, Scotty even has a yearly membership fee where you get a members pack, but with any TT Merchandise this is only available to the US?? not exactly a community! I've never been fortunate to be invited on any events that happen where some TT items are given out, but should this ever happen I would be over joyed at any items I might win. Do you think something should be done about this? I don't mind helping with distribution in the UK if you want everything going to one drop point, I'll even hold stock in my garage if I need to. I look forward to hearing from TT and everyone else's responses.

    Thank you

    Simon

  2. We can buy a lot of the different items on the USA site and then pay shipping and import duties, but the cost of shipping a single item makes it very expensive.
I posted a theme last week asking if anyone in the UK wanted to share shipping but didn't really get any interest.
Some items are US only but sometimes someone in the USA has been kind enough to send them on.

Hi, must have missed your post, thanks for the offer anyway, and yes I know we can buy Titleist items in a number of cases, but it’s the Team Titleist products I’m referring to, just think they could offer them more around the globe.

I’m in the middle of buying using the MyUS website. They give you a US postal address which companies like Titleist accept. When they receive the item they repackage and post on to you.

I have bought a Forest Digital Camo fitted cap which was $43 from Titleist. MyUS have charged me a further $30.38 to ship to me. A bit more than I had anticipated but seems a good service.

It’s a shame Titleist won’t ship everything worldwide but this is worth considering if there’s something you really want

Thanks and yes it’s an option, but your paying almost twice what our American friends are paying for the same item.
If these items were available in the UK and rest of the world we would have a problem. Enjoy when it arrived.
  6. The company is in the US so it makes a lot of sense to me why they get all the good stuff.

In all fairness we are lucky to get what we do.

I've enjoyed talking to like minded people who enjoy this beautiful game that's why I find this forum so awesome

I get people want what they can't have and to be honest that makes #TT gear even better because it's not mainstream.

  7. It's often been asked before but no change as yet...
In a similar vein, I often wonder why there is such a lot of specialist Titleist stuff available on-line from Japan (particularly a wide range of enamel ball markers) Is it all genuine??
I get more irate with people selling Team Titleist stuff on eBay. Most of these items are free gifts from Titleist. One TT ball marker on eBay this week was labelled as "Rare" and had a Buy it Now price of £146!!
    Scandalous in my opinion.

I’d love to see more availability in the Uk. Not just for me, but all Team Titleist members. I took the plunge and ordered the Scotty membership package this year, but with shipping costs, it was a bit pricy.
I get that Acushnet is a US based company but clubs and apparel are available worldwide, so why not other items.
I’ve been lucky in the past to get hold of some bits and bobs and when possible have shared those with fellow TT members, often at my expense. I’d hate for that to be abused by the items finding their way onto Ebay for profit!

I am struggling a bit with the logic of how making TT stuff more available will slow down the resale on eBay. Seems like it will only increase as more people that don't really care to keep stuff or appreciate its value will be trying to make a buck (or a pound). Increasing the volume and making it available without control will also serve to lessen the personal value for those people that took the time and spent the money to attend an event where items were given in appreciation of attendance. Right now anyone can join and be a member of TT so there are a bunch of one-and-done accounts out there where people are just signing up in hopes of getting on a mailing list for freebies, or test balls, or sweepstakes. Until they can find a way to filter out the masses, real loyal TT members have no way to be rewarded outside the current system. I would hate to see a system like the Cameron Club where you have to buy in annually to participate. My opinion anyway, for what its worth. I know it's not universally accepted and I respect all other differing opinions on this hot topic.

Thank you and yes it is your opinion which you are entitled to, this is why we have these forums, and I agree with the eBay part, if I was lucky enough to attend a TT event and was handed a goodie bag, I’d be ecstatic and enjoy using them not sell them. My point though is that from time to time you can purchase from the US site TT merchandise, but never around the globe, these should be made available globally, it doesn’t matter that Achusnet and it’s subsidiaries are US entities, they are all well know global brands.
    Just my opinion too.
  11. Totally agree with Dale V. If you can buy it it means nothing to most people, but if you receive it as a surprise or from a TT event it is more special and looked after. You will get the odd few who sell for the profit but you can never stop that. It’s only TT merchandise and the important part is being part of a community that love Titleist equipment.

A lot of it has to do with exporting items out of the US directly to consumers. The laws are pretty confusing and restrictive. If they were to decide to sell items outside of the US, then they need to have the local Titleist organization in each country/region order the items from the US. I'm not sure that they are really setup to do that either.

There are also some items that the UK gets that we don't here in the US. Fortunately for me, I have a UK address also and can order UK items shipped to there.
  13. 19hole,
We have a fully operational Titleist organisation in the UK...
