Played today. It was a chilly 6* on the Irish Sea coast of England. No sun at all. No blue in the sky. Our 3-ball all had a minimum of 3 tops on and waterproof over-trousers on top of winter weight pants. Hats (including trapper style golf caps and bobblers) and gloves/mittens were the order of the day.
So how come there were several blokes out in SHORTS???
I appreciate that: - Skin is cheap... Shorts avoid muddy turn-ups... "Sweating your Assets" is economically efficient... and it allows you to show off your pins (not a benefit I observed today)....
But WHY?? - Why Shorts in the UK in Winter??
Can anyone explain??
