No golf for a while now - even though the club is in Tier 2!

I guess the members who live close to the club and are in Tier 2 will have no trouble getting tee times until the rules change.

Back to cleaning the clubs and polishing shoes until things improve.

  2. Leslie,
We're in Tier 2 .... However my club has been closed (bar two days) for the past 3 weeks due to incessant rain - we get a daily report of the amount of rainfall that has been tipped onto the course from on-high.
The Driving Range I use is over the border in Wales, so that shut down - at midnight on Saturday - until further notice...
Oh, and Membership renewal is now due....

HI JT - I feel for you.

A friend lives in a Tier 4 area and over his back fence is Tier 2.

    So near, yet so far!!!!!

    Roll on the vaccine
  4. Played this morning at Woodbridge Suffolk, 2 balls only in tier 4 areas. Storm Bella had passed when we started at 8am.....course in fantastic condition. Was thinking my new stadry bag was going to be tested first time out!!!!

We are in tier 3 in leeds and my club is less than a mile away, hopefully we don’t go into tier 4 and golf stops. I will be renewing my membership this month and it won’t be good not playing
  6. Antony,
Our General Manager says you can play in 2's in Tier 4 - that said, our course is still shut because of the incessant rain... Ever get the feeling that you can't win???

Tier 4 for us up north oh the wall.......and like you JT my fees are due now aswell .
Maybe just aswell it freezing up here as I’m not a fan of winter greens anyway.........well that’s what I keep telling myself, and I’m getting fed up of re runs on sky golf..........I’m needing out to loose some Titleist’s. ️‍♂️
  8. Tosh,
Don't want to sound smug but I've paid mine - Early payment incentive of £50 tacked on to my club card.
Bit of a medium term investment on the basis that the course is closed by the rain and the clubhouse by government Covid regulation!

JT, How that £50 incentive is not just to spend in the bar !!!
  10. Ant,
Yep - Untold riches on my card that can be used on food, drink and tickets for functions....
Just a shame I can't get into the clubhouse to spend it!!

    Cumbernauld,

Tier 4 for me but course still open, of course the snow has made it slightly difficult to play!
