  1. Hi Has anybody had any problems with black sm8 wedges. My son got 3 wedges at the end of January. He has only taken cellophane off heads on Sunday ready for golf starting Monday. Then when playing today Tuesday noticed white markings in finish on all 3 wedges. Awaiting reply from Titleist just wondered if anybody else had encountered anything similar Thanks. Paul.

  2. Hi, where are the markings - are they only on the club face?

I think it’s pretty normal if so as naturally they’ll mark up with ball contact. I had this on an older wedge.
  3. Markings are on backs of clubs. Not on face or anything to do with clubs hitting ground or ball. I do realise all clubs will mark with use and if it had of been a few weeks and numerous rounds would have accepted this as normal wear. But not after 1 round I have sm7 black wedges myself and once they started wearing I removed black finish to make them raw.

i had that with my sm7s, i ended up going over them all with a light scotch pad so they are a dull grey colour, no glare and look better. however i ordered a new sm8 brushed steel and after about 4 rounds im far from happy with the way its marked. i expected it with the black raw but not with a plated finish. not sure what the warranty is on them
  5. All faces and soles will mark due to contact with the golf ball, ground etc. Wether they be raw, black or blue finishes.

What do we reckon, chrome or brushed steel the way to go? Or just accept the fact that blue and black finishes won’t stay perfect for ever?

the chrome and slate finishes shouldnt blemish that quickly though,
