  1. The course condition is massively improving, great weather and golf over the last month has been pretty good. Today was the first club comp after lockdown - and I was dreadful! Striking the ball okay but three putting and stupid decisions made for a very disappointing day.

I just wondered how everyone else has found the return to competition.

I also attach a picture of a little chap that slithered across the 15th tee as we arrived there - it did inspire my only birdie of the day!

Limited comps at my club as the sale finally completes at the end of May. I'm playing weekdays so weekend comps are off my agenda for now. Looking at the results it doesn't seem like everyone has suffered too much in lockdown with some good scores being posted.

I've been putting in General Play scores and my society scores so I'm well on my way to reaching my HCI target of 13 having started at 15.8 post lockdown and now down to 13.6.
  3. With winning scores being 45pts plus now, any suffering is limited to the better golfers.
  4. Would be cool to be a member have an official handicap and play in comps but one can only dream.

Hope you guys are making the most of it out there

I was playing well before lockdown and won the December Stableford, but coming out after was like I’d forgotten how to play. My weight transfer was awful and I’m blocking everything right. It’s slowly getting better but still more practice required.
