The met office weather warning came true as the rain came down as we walked to the first along with very high winds. Many of the field in our Autumn Medal withdrew or gave up.
My three ball soldiered on - despite me playing my worst round for c. 10 years. Sadly I did manage a 10 on the fourth so I had used my entire 10 handicap at that point.
The greens became waterlogged- a 4 putt on the 8th didn’t help the card.
To make the day worse, my galvin green waterproofs weren’t and it was too windy for an umbrella.
No change of clothes meant a damp and unpleasant journey home.
And yet, can’t wait to be back next week!
