I have 246, 250, and a 256 in my bag. I am looking to replace the 50 08 and could go with another 250 - 08 or move to the SM5 50 -08. The 200 series looks a little bigger and rounder toe but I am not sure. Any advice?

Stuart,
The 200 series has a more teardrop profile and a slightly straighter leading edge. The SM5 profile will be more compact with a shorter blade length and taller heel height.

Cameron great points, also I have noticed that on tour some guys still play with their 47-52 degree wedges in the 200 model...

Likely cause the 200 series has less aggressive groves, they don't always want extra spin

In my opinion, the SM5 overall is a better club and is newer. If I were you I would get the SM5, its what I play and I have always used them.
Ok, thank you

I love my 200's...they are such a great classic look...and you cant go wrong with them either.

I am sticking with the 200 series and will order the 250-08. It does spin a little less since it doesn't have the newer grooves which is better for me. Thanks to everyone for the posts

Are there any plans for the 200 series with TX3 groves?
David NSan Diego, CA
Stephen,
There are no plans to add the TX3 groove to the 200 Series. The 200 Series will be discontinued this year so we recommend grabbing some while they are still available!
