    Hi,

I am looking to buy the sm5 Vokey wedges.  I am looking to get a 54 degree sand wedge.  However, there are two options with the same loft, different grind: the M and S grind.  I am just wondering what the difference between these are, and which one would be the best for me.  I would want the more versatile wedge.  I want to take full swings with it, but still play with it often around the greens.

    Thanks,

    Sam

    Sam,

Basically the difference is this:  the S grind is for players who like to keep the face squared on most all shots and the M grind is for players who like to open, close and square the face on shots as it has more relief from the grind on the heel and toe.  The sole is a little thinner on the S grind as well.  If you're looking for more versatility from various lies then the M grind would be the way you would want to go...

    FourWiggles,

Thanks for the reply.  If that is the case, then the M grind is definitely the way to go.  Thanks for clearing that up!
