My new AP2 pitching and gap wedges are great. I also have a Vokey 258-08 that works well from 80 yds on in. The black sheep in the bag is my old DCI Oversize sand wedge. It's use is pretty much limited to greenside bunkers. I would like to replace it with a Vokey that I could use in multiple situations, including greenside bunkers. I'm open to trading in the Vokey and getting two new ones, if need be.   I welcome suggestions on how to round out my set of wedges.

    Thank you!

    Bob,

That was a very high bounce wedge and it was a 56* loft.  The closest option to it was 56.14 in the SM5 Vokey.  Since your current gap wedge is either 50* or 51*, depending on the model AP2, you could look at doing a 54* Vokey and a 58* or 60*.  This might mean you would replace your current 58*.  I would look to get fit. This will allow you to figure out the proper gapping, bounce, and grind needed to fit you game.

I use the SM4 54-08 and 58-06, along with my set of AP2 712s.  I have found that these two work quite well out of all sorts of sand and grass lies, giving me all the options I need.

Bob, check the loft on your gap wedge and add Vokey wedges to fit the gaps at four degrees loft increments. If your gap wedge is 52 then go 56 and 60 for example.
