  1. After purchasing a 50-12 and 54-14 Vokey wedge I am pretty sure I am striking the ball high at times after bouncing the club head of the ground just behind the ball (little did I know what those last numbers were for). This does not occur on my other irons which as I look at them have almost no bounce angle as the leading edge is the lowest part of the sole. I am getting back to golf after a decade and finding equipment has really changed, so I am reading about grinds and such and find that I probably purchased the wrong grind on the wedges. I am a sweeper I can conclude from reading and rarely take divot and play on pretty hard turf. I will improve over time improve with the ball striking, but if I can speed it up and feel more comfortable perhaps I should have some of the bounce ground away so it is not higher than the leading edge of the club head if I understand all this correctly. Do club fitters grind down clubs on standard factory clubs as well as adjust the lie and lofts? If so I should consider a fitting for these. I don't need a lie or loft adjustment as using a piece of tape and a small thin board I am striking the bottom of the club head across the middle/center, but perhaps the sole shape can be fitted better to me? Thanks,

Yes, you can have the bounce ground down, but it takes a very skilled wedge builder to do that and there is no going back once you have started.
If you let us know where you are located, we can find a wedge fitter for you that can help you with the bounce and grind selection.
