This question is directed to Bob (I hope):

When is the 64 coming back into the lineup.  I have 1 in the bag now and love it.  Problem is that I cannot find a replacement anymore and I am worried what I am going to do when the grooves wear out.

    Help!!!

    Thanks!

Hopefully soon..  I can't find one at any of the store near me.  My groves are about worn out, but that was my go-to wedge for a while.

Todd, I'm not sure we will see that club back in the lineup.  It is a very small market for that loft.

    Can't you just bend a 60 to a 64?

To be safe I wouldn't go anymore than 2* with a cast club

Luckily I was able to check online and find a lightly used SM4 64 degree for the bag. The face on my old 64 was chewed up since I tend to short-side myself a lot. If you are shopping/getting fit for new Vokey, you could take the 62 degree SM5 and bend it 2 degrees weaker and create a 64 degree wedge with 10 degrees of bounce. If you want an SM4 or earlier generation Vokey that is lightly used, check online. IMO, I wouldn't be surprised if the SM6? phased out the 62 degree wedge too, assuming the next generation Vokeys have improved grooves, face surfaces, and grinds, especially in the higher lofted wedges (58 and 60). Hope this helps.

    Hi Todd,

As some individuals have already mentioned, you can bend the SM5 62 to 64 degree. This will effectively add 2 degrees of bounce, but many times golfers benefit from this.

I would recommend seeing a local fitter before trying this, but it should be a good alternative.

Let us know how it goes.
