Last summer I was fit for AP2 714 irons (4-W) by my local Titleist professional. He also had me get two Vokey's, a 54 F and a 58 K, with the standard wedge flex shaft. Although the AP2's are great, I continue to struggle with the Vokey's...always either scalding them or chunking dirt, rarely making clean contact.
For the AP2's, I was fit with XP 95 S300 shafts with an added .5" length over my old clubs (Tour Edge Bazooka HT Max). I think one of the main reasons I have so much trouble with the Vokey's is that they are .75" shorter than my AP2 gap wedge (AP2 W = 36", Vokey = 35.25").
Should I consider having the Vokey shafts changed to be longer and possibly use the same XP 95 S300 shaft as in AP2's since I like them so much?
