Hi TT: Hope all of you are geared up for the upcoming Summer golf around the corner. I have an addition to my bag. Here are my new SM6 composition set as a result of the Titleist Thursday fitting in Pasadena, CA. Brookside Golf Course. I just want to thank Titleist for giving me the opportunity to be fitted for the new SM6 wedge grinds. The grinds are an amazing work and technology by the Vokey wedges. I've only had the chance to hit a few bump & runs and half shots and a few full shots with these beuties, yesterday, but everything is checking in much better than my old set of wedges- I'm so glad for the change #veryexcited for the summer! They look great Noel. Hope you have great success with them. Upgraded from SM5 to a SM6 50.08 and 56.14. F grind XP 105 S300 shafts, +1/2 inch, 2* upright, to go with my new AP1S. Am loving them. Liked my previous Vokeys but got the shafts to match my irons this time. Big difference. Did mine at the Thursday fitting at Rivertowne Country Club, Mt Pleasant, SC with the local tech rep at Titleist.

The new wedges really look sharp Noel. Enjoy sticking the ball close to the pin with your new weapons!

All with 8* bounce? How is the 58* out of the sand?

Bill, I questioned that at first when I saw the numbers- my old set of wedges had 54.10* bounce which I loved then, and an .08* bounce on both the 50/58.

Now that I've had a few rounds with it at different courses with different sand conditions, I'm now a believer that I was fitted correctly and I'm very satisfied that I can get out with good results even on a fluffy sand at our course. For some reason, I don't see that much of a difference out of the bunker from my old 54.10 and my new 54.08. If anything, the SM6 M grind glides through the sand nicer or smoother (for lack of better descriptive words).

Where I find a big difference are around the green- when I open the blade/face on the 54.08, I can get to the ball more flush with SM6 M grind. I also like how it reacts on a stock approach with 54.08 SM6. Everything seems to all be consistently good for my swing- opening/closing the face of the M grinds, they are smoother- and easier to use as intended. I am very happy with all the results I'm getting so far.

Anyway, a fried egged lie is one I haven't encountered nor tried with the SM6. I hope not to encounter it, but I will have to see what it does at a practice bunker and hope to report good things.

    Thanks.

Bill, the 58.08* out of the sand is terrific! The big difference now is that the SM6 M grind has more bite- a drop and stop out of the sand is doable. Furthermore, it has all the good characteristic like the 54.08*.

Sorry, I got carried away with my response to you as my standard sand wedge is the 54*
