I LOVE my SM4 wedges. I have the 54* with 14* of bounce and the 62* with 07*. There is no grind mentioned on the wedges.

I demo'd the SM6 wedges and decided on the S grinds for a 54* 10* and the 60* 10*. I love the flighting but I am still in the process of adjusting to them from the sand.

I am wondering what SM6 grinds would be closest to my SM4 grinds. The 62* is almost like a V grind but since the wedges do not mention a type of grind I am unsure as to what is closest in the SM6 offerings.

I love the SM6 wedges but I am not sure I have the best grind for me. Would love to get similar (or the same) grinds as I have on my SM4s.

    Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks

    Thank you for your post.

    The SM4 54.14 had an F Grind and the 62.07 was a T Grind.

If you are interested in a similar set up to your SM4 wedges in the SM6 line, you would want to try the SM6 54.14F and the SM6 62.08M. If you are looking to drop down to the 60°, the 60.08M would be most similar to your SM4 in a 60° loft.

Another option for the 60°, would be the WedgeWorks 60 V Grind. The V Grind is similar to the T, however with a much higher forward bounce.

At the end of the day, it is best to be properly fit for your wedges, and at the least hit them side by side to compare.

I hope this helps and thank you for your post.

    Hi Andrew!
While we're on the topic... I currently have an WedgeWorks SM4-60Vgrind. What differences are there in the WedgeWorks SM6-60Vgrind aside from the new progressive CG between the two versions?

    Thank you for your post.

Are you referring to the Hand Ground V Grind?

There are a few differences, the 2 biggest being the Progressive CG and the groove on the new WW V Grind.

The Progressive CG promotes precise distance and trajectory control and the new TX4 groove promotes maximum spin.

Please see our Vokey WedgeWorks archive for more information on previous models.

I too had the sm4 62* and now have the sm6 62* M grind and it is fantastic. I wondered if it would perform the same since it is a different grind but it is amazing. Best of luck!

    Andrew,

Thank you very much for the info, that is very helpful.

I actually have the V grinds on order in 54* and 60* so I am looking forward to trying them out when they come in.

    I am going to order a 54* F and a 62.08M per your suggestions.

Thanks for all your help and suggestions.

    MattP,

Thanks for helping in going with the M grind. I actually have the M grinds in the SM5s and I do like them. I just loved my SM4s so much. Given you like your M in the SM6 at 62* that helps give me confidence I'll like it. I just like that 62* so much.

THanks for all your help guys, much appreciated.

    Robert L,

I just want to add that I have found the progressive CG to be amazing. Distance control is excellent and flighting is the best I have ever experienced. I love the feel. I will say that it does take a little adjustment as it is a bit "hotter" around the greens. And the grooves really spin the ball (too much imo on full shots but it is very helpful around the green). Hope that helps.
