I play 716AP1 5-PW,G47,G52 A flex and for wedges Renegar 56 and 60. I would like to replace the Renegar with one Vokey. It would be used primarily for sand but also for occasional Lob shot from rough. I'm thinking a 58* would be a good compromise but what bounce and Grind.

I know everyone says to get fitted but in my area ie Northeast, right now that is not feasible/practical.

So what would be the first choice that a fitter would hand to me to try? Thanks, Marc

I use my 60 degree M grind Vokey for all of those shots (and I use F grind for the wedges I play only square face). There is also the V grind that I think is similar to the M but gives more bounce on square face shots... Find the V here: www.vokey.com/.../vgrind.aspx

I have the K Grind 58 and I really love it for sand. I use a M Grind 54 and an F Grind 50 for most of my chipping, though. I think if you're looking for versatility, go with an M Grind. If you're looking for sand performance more than lob shots on tight lies, then the K is great.

In general, if your sand and turf at your home course is soft, get higher bounce. If the ground is firm and the bunker sand is firm, get less bounce. But you really should try a fitting if you can arrange it.

The K grind would be a good choice for what you are looking for. Comes in 58 and is best suited for bunker play. It has a wide sole and high bounce. Vokey website has a great breakdown of each wedge.
