So, I decided I need to change things up with my wedge set up and what was missing was a 52 degree wedge. My other wedges are SM4's-48, 56 & 60 while my alternate set is SM5 54 and 58 degrees, s grind.
Off to the golf shop I go to try wedges. The shop had a big selection of the new SM7's at $ 149.00 and a fair amount of the SM6's for $ 119.00. Not a big difference and I had a 20 buck off coupon to use as well. So I kept an open mind.
I would say that the numbers between the two models were virtually identical. The felt the same, the bounce was the same, as was the grind. (8 degrees and f grind) The only difference was cosmetic.
So, my question is this, if you were in my shoes, would you get the SM7 because its the latest or the SM6 because its cheaper-assuming that your numbers were identical as mine were. Curious to hear your responses. Cheers!
