  1. purchased vokey wedges (50-54-60) april 2018, 50 rounds. other than consulting a professional fitter, is there a way to determine if the grooves are too worn? and yes, i have googled, watched videos; and no, its difficult to determine. so curious if any other here have same question? thanks

I feel like it would depend on your individual style of play. If you are someone who puts a lot of spin on your wedge shots and depends on the quick stop, or even on backing the ball up, probably need to change the wedges as soon as you notice that not working anymore. If you are a low-spin player like myself, you can probably get by a lot longer with worn groves, until you notice inconsistencies in flight and landing of your shots. I usually am moving on the the latest version by then anyway. There's probably some mathematical recommended measurements in grove depth but for me it's more about feel and results.

I agree with Dale but would like to add. Should change them after use of about 100 rounds or a year. That if you actually use the clubs that often. Wedges are clubs that most golfers seem to hang on to way too long and they are an important scoring club. Beats the heck out of me. I am a picker vs a digger so I put less spin on mine ball than most golfers.
  4. I’m approaching 75 round on my oldest wedge, and I have started noticing it’s rolling out more than it once did, not enough to replace, but probably will by the end of the season.
