  1. Hey guys, I bought two vokey wedges from ebay 54 and 58. I went with 58.12 K grind and 54.14 F grind because I wanted lots of bounce and I just started playing two months ago so the forgiveness of the sole isn’t bad either. They came in and the 58.12K looks and is great - the 54 however says S grind on it. The problem is it says 14 degrees of bounce. I read up on the vokeys before buying because I wanted to know which would be the best option for my game and fit with the rest of my clubs but I was under the impression the S grind had 10 degrees of bounce not 14. I am familiar with the looks of the different grinds and the 54 is in fact an S grind, but the bounce says 14. I am aware this was a mistake by the seller but I’m now questioning the authenticity of the club if a real S grind would say 10. Finally to my question, can you adjust the bounce of each grind or is it possible the club was mislabeled? Thanks in advance for your help - Sam

Unlikely mislabeled. Has a serial/build number on it, which would mean it was custom ordered (or someone faked it to look more real), but not sure it came in that combo at all... You should call Titleist at 888-Titleist and ask about that serial number. That's no guarantee of anything, but they can tell you if there was a build to those specs. May be Vokey Wedgeworks too and you could try them.

    Best of luck!

After you determine with Titleist that this is actually an authentic S grind with 14 degrees of bounce, the Vokey Wedgeworks would need to regrind it to get back to 10 degrees with the 54 degree loft - at a higher cost than the original cost of an SM6 being sold now as a last year's model. So your best bet will be to return as it isn't what was specified in the order - unless you want 14 degrees of bounce.

Did a little research and the SM6 S grind did not come in a 54.14, but the F grind did. Agree with calling Titleist to check out number on club. Could be good deal, but I ONLY purchase from recognized Titleist dealers. With respect and good luck.

I see that you bought SM 6's. SM 7's, which are the current Vokey wedges have different bounces than the 6's. I'm sure that when you researched the specs, you were looking at SM 7's. Stay away from ebay and Amazon when it comes to buying golf clubs.

I’m fairly new to golf as well! My cousin sent me an old sm6 58.08 (i don’t know what grind) and I liked it so much that I just order three new vokey SM7 jet black in 52.08 F, 56.10 S and 60.10 D. I utilized the vokey grind recommendation simulator, the head pro and my “home” course and a TON of research to chose my grind options.
