  1. I don't know about you but this weather is ruining my wedge practice.

I really want to get my wedges dialed in but can only practice at the range cause my courses practice area is soaked.

How do you practice your wedge game in this unpredictable weather?

  2. Serious wedge practice is a must. Fat a thins can be so costly in a round so its good to work out the kinks.

Also make range practice fun so it doesn't become a chore.

Good question, I can't practice with them. I've tried to find a high spot on the course to hit from for a bit, but its tough.
  4. Alex,

I hear what you're saying but if your range is anything like the one I practice at, there are " targets" to hit your wedges toward. At mine, there are a number of "greens" with flags that the check-in counter has yardages for. I just hit my wedges toward them. Sometimes I will take my range finder to confirm the distances from the mat that I am using. My range also has an upper level and a lower level that is covered and heated so as long as there isn't a driving rain I can get in my practice. Good luck and stay dry.

Are you able to go out on the course when it is not busy? If so, consider going out solo and picking various spots from which you would use the wedge and practice that way. Alternately, do you have a large, dry, empty field nearby that you could use as a practice facility?

I like the course idea thank you

My local range has a few raised greens to aim at with the wedges so 50,70 and 100 yds are still manageable in this wet Uk weather. At the moment this is the only opportunity I’ve got to hit balls, as a lot of local courses have been closed
