SM8 Wins Its First Week on Tour

    What a week! 37 Tour pros put SM8 in play this week which is almost 25% of the entire field. Then Tyler Duncan taking home the RSM Classic with a couple SM8 wedges in play was the ultimate icing on the cake.

    I've been fortunate to spend some time out on Tour and Tour athletes are surprisingly similar to the weekend club golfer in that if someone plays well with a new piece of equipment, they'll definitely be more inclined to give that new piece of equipment a look. After such a successful launch week, I have no doubts Aaron Dill and the BV tour team will be slammed with guys wanting to test SM8.

    So the SM8 email with details and specs came out yesterday and I noticed the 58L grind was not an option.

    But, above it states that Tyler Duncan won with the 58 L.

    Are they not offering that grind to the public? Looks like just the 60L is being offered. TIA!!

    They either took a 60 L and bent it to 58 or they just made him a 58 L. I bet AD knows the answer. He replies on IG rather quickly most of the time.

    I just put a 54 and 60 degree 8's in my bag. Before I purchased I was skeptical that there would be much difference from my 7's. I was wrong the feel of the 8's is fantastic. The 8's are just a better feeling wedge. May be it is the CG placement or the weighting. I feel the 8 spin and stop better than the 7's. The 7's in my bag were less than 3 months old. So it is not a new wedge verses a worn out wedge when it come to spin. Mr Vokey what ever you did you hit the nail right on the head!!! Fantastic is how I would describe the 8's.

    What is the standard shaft on the SM8 wedges? Is it the same as the SM7 wedges? Thanks.
