Love my new SM8s. BUT, the first couple rounds I played with them, nearly every chip or pitch I hit came up short. I had to get used to having fresh grooves again and begin to trust that when I hit it close on a chip or pitch, it's going to stop quickly from a short grass lie. Over time, with my SM7s, I lost some of that stopping power. But because it was so gradual, I hardly noticed. With nearly 400 rounds on them, I didn't realize how little they were spinning.
I have finally adjusted to the new SM8s and their fantastic spin abilities. Took me three or four rounds. My confidence around the green with them is now high. Yesterday, unfortunately, I missed too many greens. HOWEVER, I got up and down 6 of 8 times from inside 20 yards with the new SM8s. Yep, these are gonna be fun!
