  1. So when I got fitted for my 718 AP2, I also took in a quick wedge fitting to get my grinds and bounces. I ended up purchasing a 50, 54, and 60 degree wedges set. So over the last year of golfing, I found the gap between the 54 and 60 was quite large. I was at my local golf shop and asked if they could bend it to 58, they said no problem. He bent it with no issue, but he said to me that before he started he measured it and it was actually 61*. So I am curious was it his measuring that might have been out? or do wedges have some degree of variance off the production line?? Just curious....

  2. Most shops have (and I forget the name) a large heavy metal device that locks in the club in place to determine loft and lie angle. Over time wirh overuse and not keeping it calibrated and springs and coils getting loose the reliability of these devices can be suspect at best. But, they are good and usually can be accurate, or off by a degree. Titleist does everything with laser precision, but even at that there are degrees of tolerance that a club will still be deemed acceptable. I dont recall the range, but i do recall the industry max is about double to what Titleist's max is - for instance brand X may allow 2* variance and still be acceptable, Titleist is 1* - possibly even 1/2 a degree. That being said the gap between your 54 and 60 is probably 15-18 yards. An extra degree will move the gap 2-3 yards - all things being equal.

More important to me would be that you also took about 2 degrees of bounce off that wedge.
  4. 19 Of this I am aware. It was 10* bounce and I can easily play 8* bounce or even less. If I need I can open the face a bit for green side shots etc, and expose more of the bounce and backside to interct with the turf.
Also Update, the new angle is much closer to where i need it to be in relation to the 54* wedge. I will definitely play more with bounce and loft when I buy my next set of Vokeys as now using them is just dreamy and so easy. Honestly cant wait to wear my current ones out!! lol
