  1. I hit my 48 T200 130yrds. Curious if I should go 52, 56 vokey or 54, 58 for better gapping? Both wedges will be used for full shots/around the green and the 56/58 will also be used out of bunkers.

Best as advice, as always is to head to a qualified fitter and give them all a try to find the appropriate gapping, as well as bounce and grind.

10-15 yard gaps so have to figure out if 52 or 54 goes 115 if your 48 is 130,
  4. I have the same irons T200 48 degree. And hit it 120 yards

When I did my fitting I was told to give 4 degrees between wedges.
    I have a 52 and 56 and a 60.

Get a fitting to be sure.

Similar sentiment to everyones comments above...but also what yardage do you find you need to hit the most? You hit the nail on the head with your comment, for the 48 and 52 these are probably more full wedge shots, 56 and 60 can leads towards partial wedge shots. Experiment with what feels comfortable to you and what gives you the least anxiety on the course, would you feel out of luck if you didn't have that 60 and it was a 56 or 58 in your hand?

Another T200 owner here, my 48 is about 115 max in warmer weather. I did go to a fitter, I have 54 and 60 Vokeys. The gapping works for me. I can get the 54 to about 100-105 on the high side, but generally I'm most comfortable hitting it about 85-90 and the 60 is for anything under about 70 yards.

Like the others, I recommend a fitting to mind the gaps, so to speak. Just depends on the yardage and lie for me, I have what I like to call the full, 90%, and 75% swings with the 48 and 54 and those kind of fill the gaps. Hopefully, you'll find what works best for you.

T200 player as well. I hit my 48 degree T200 stock yardage of 125 yards. I have always hit my 56 degree Vokey 100 yards on normal full swing. I went to PGA Tour Superstore and hit the 50, 52 and 54 degree Vokeys and found that the 52 degree Vokey went 112-115 yards, which was perfect gapping for me. The 4 degree increments usually work but either do a fitting or hit demos to confirm.

I think I’m saying pretty much what everyone else is saying above. The only other thing to consider is what shaft to go with. I went with the shaft that matches my T200s for the 52 degree as that is mainly a full swing or close to full swing club. I went with the stock wedge flex for the 56 since I use that club around the green in addition to full shots. I think the wedge flex is a little softer than typical shaft assuming you play s300.

    Good luck!

My fitter suggested the 48° shaft match the T200 set since it's my full-swing club and heavier shaft for 52° and 58° since I use those for full, pitch and chips.
  9. You need to go to a fitter so you fit the club in the right gap

My T200 48 and my SM6 52 didn't seem to have enough of a gap, so, I went with a 54 to get a bigger gap. A fitting is the best route to go, or, you could a 52, 54, 56, 58, and, experiment. And, don't forget about the various bounce and grind options.

  11. yeah agree with this.. bounce and grind is so important!

I ditched my set 48 and went 50 bent to 49. Have a small gap from 130-120. Have 54 just bent to 53 trying to get 110-112. 58 is used around greens along with 53. 58 is my 90-95 club. Not sure how my 53 yardage will play out but feel it will work.
  13. i 100% recommend going and getting fit.. i went for my t100s a few months ago and now the gappage is totally out with my original wedges. I have spoken to my pro and he is refitting me for some new sm9s in a weeks time
  14. I too am a T200 man and love the 48* wedge. It seems similar to what a pitching wedge loft used to be, though to be fair, technology has moved on.
After fitting, I went for the 52* (08F) and the 60* (08M). The 52 is great but I'm going to review the 60* with my fitter.
Either I've got the one or more of loft/bounce/grind wrong or I need some coaching.... either way, I am not hitting the numbers I want with the 60*.
Just goes to show that even with fitting, you sometimes need to consider changing direction.

Well said about the 48 degree essentially being the pitching wedge. That’s how I look at it. When I switched to the T200 my distances were shifted one club due to the stronger lofts. Really glad I got the T200 48 degree. The 52 degree Vokey gaps perfectly between the 48 degree T200 and 56 degree Vokey.

Now I have my eyes on the new T150. Assume those will have essentially same lofts as the T100s/T200.

It would be nice to see Titleist going all the way up to a LW in the game improvement lines (T300, T350) and even the T200. I remember when they did go all teh way to LW, but now they want to make you buy Vokey wedges, which are great wedges, but the they are not for all players, and they do cause the gapping issues going from set wedges to Vokey wedges

Definitely would be good to have that option. But my personal preference is anything above the 48 degree T200 GW be a Vokey as I feel like the Vokeys have a little more finesse than the T series irons. I get a lot of spin with my 52 and 56 degree Vokeys and like that I have a little more feel on the shots 115 yards and in (52 degree flies 115 yards).

But have the matching LW would be a good option to have for some.

I switched the T200 48° W to SM9 48° and prefer the Vokey fee over the set. My fitter thought 52° and 58° complimented my set and game.

I hit my 48° 115 yards and was fitted for 52, 56, 60. Rarely carry the 60 though, because my 56 is my bunker, flop, and whatever.
  20. I just went from 716 AP2s with the W at 50 degrees.. so I bent my 54 and 58 to 52 and 56 then added a 60.

The 48 degree with a distance iron like the T200 concerned me with the next club being a 54 SM9.
