  1. Played the AVX for the first time yesterday. One word sums them up...WOW!!! This ball is hot!!! Explosive of the tee...I usually do not get much roll out from my driver but this ball hit the ground and just took off! Firm feel off my irons and soft around the greens. They really seemed to jump off the iron shots, even shorter ones around the greens. This took a little adjustment as the ball carried a little farther than usual. I’ll say the same thing with the putter. I’m a solid putter and playing on greens that I’ve played on for years...I kept rolling the ball past the hole. Normally, I die the ball in the hole but I really felt like the ball was jumping off the putter face. The only downside I saw compared to Pro V1 was control in the wind. It was breezy early yesterday and normally Pro V likes to drive through the wind with little movement..I found this ball to get caught in the wind and carry off line a little more than I’m used to. With that said..this is my new ball..I love everything about it!!!! Thank you Titleist for continuing to develop great new products...just ship more of these to Florida...I bought the only dozen in my shop yesterday.
  2. 68 years old and always played Pro V1. With age and arthritis issues have gone from 4 to 10 handicap since 50 years of age. Struggle to break 80’s. Played the AVX 2 rounds. First round got use to added distance, about 15-20 off driver, 1 club less on irons. Shoot 84. Second round was best in 4 years 78 that could been less. Playing tomorrow with my group and can’t wait! Better for me in every aspect. The first other ball that putts like the ProV1. Also better for me around greens. Slightly less bite but more consistent release which I like. For comparison my drive now with avg 230 use to be 210. 150 yds now 6 from 5 iron. PW 105 now was 96. Also AVX stays on line better on all shots for me. It’s fun to something that is really working for me. I’ve tried all the brands, a dozen at a time and nothing was as completely satisfying as this experience.
  3. Picked up a box of AVX today. Will give them a try at Torrey Pines South tomorrow. Normally play the ProV1x. Looking to see how this ball plays in the wind. Stay tuned.
  4. Played my second 18 with this ball today and I am convinced this is the best ball for me. Long off the tee. Drop and stop on the green. No need to worry about the ball bouncing well past the pin as you do with some of the soft compression balls. This ball is softer than the Pro V's but holds the green. Worth the money in my opinion.
  5. Wow. This ball needs to stick around. One round and I’m already sold. Do the right thing and add this ball to the Titleist collection permanently.
  6. I just bought a dozen of these they are the same price as Pro-V Just played a round and they have great distance and a lot of spin around the green Very similar to the Pro-V that I normally play. Maybe a little softer with a bit more spin on short shots More later after a few rounds

I live in Texas, but ordered a dozen of the AVX golf balls off of the internet. I like the durability of the ball and the spin on the greens seemed to be comparable to the PRO v1. I did not experience greater distance off of the tee with the AVX but did seem to have lower spin, in which my baby draw seemed to straighten out over the 3 days I did play with the ball. The balls that I received were yellow, which I thought would take time to get used to, but it did not seem to be a problem.

I've played about 9 holes with this ball (alternating between the Pro V1x) in the last two days - I think it is fantastic. Below is my breakdown.

    - Feels like NXT Cover off drives has short game like the Pro V
    - Durable Cover - firm exterior, soft core as advertised
    - Good Wedge Spin on solid and non solid shots; 60-80 yd shots stops like a dime and some check back similar to Pro V
    - I've gain about 5 yds longer on my irons and about 5-10 yds longer on my driver
    - Driver and iron trajectory is piercing
    - Putting feels like the Pro V
    - Chips check nicely with good roll

Overall, its like the NXT and Pro V created a baby. I'd highly recommend it.
Price point is steep (same as Pro Vs), but if they sold this at NXT prices, this ball is solid (please drop the price a little Titleist :) )

Feels like the Costco ball but with much better short game spin.

    Handicap 6.2
    Plays golf 2-4x/month
    Swing Speed - 85-92 mph
  9. Down in Florida for a couple weeks and picked up the new Titleist AVX ball, wow !

After attending team Titleist invitational and hearing about this ball, I had to try it and it didn’t disappoint. I will be moving over from Pro v1x. I have picked up 10 yards off the tee, better trajectory and great, controllable spin on approaches. Feels faster off the club face. Great work Titleist, you have a winner

  10. My mom bought these at our golf shop in Santee, California today, she is 75 years old. Right off the bat she gained 20 yards. She let me hit one and the soft feel with the distance was great. I also tend to have a higher ball flight and the two drives with this ball, my shot was not as high. I really like the ball, would switch if it is kept on the market. The price is higher than I usually spend though I think that I would suck it up and spend it. Great product.
  11. I have been playing the cally super soft ball. The AVX goes further off the tee and spins better on shots to the green. The ball plays much like the ProV1 when I was 15 years younger. The AVX is the best ball I have played in years, and I have tried many others.
  12. Tried the AVX for the first time this weekend. Definitely longer than the ProV and consistently rolled more in the fairway. Does not have the stopping power or spin of the ProV. Overall, as a plus handicap, I’m sold on the AVX! The shop here in Lakeland Florida can’t keep them on the shelves, and there’s a reason for that...the ball just flat out performs!

    It doesn't float.
  14. #AVS=Phenomenal ball. If your looking to lower your score this is a must have. I noticed the emphasis being centered around scoring and it is. I am a scratch golfer and struggled with pitch shots and anything inside of 60yards with distance(mainly run out). This ball does not move an inch once it Velcro’s to the green. It literally stops on a dime. Beyond impressed. I hit a slight draw and couldn’t really over draw it if I needed to. Kinda a plus but strange hitting it straight. Overall my new favorite ball. Well done Titleist this ball is a beast.

  16. Like be this new ball. Please keep it going
  17. Purchased a dozen yellow/green AVS golf balls this week. Played with one today. Loved the distance and the feel. Shot my 3rd lowest round ever. Ball stopped great on the green. Only played with single ball for entire round. Couldn't even tell it had been hit at end of round.

  18. Anyone else used the new AVX’s yet? I used them in 2 rounds this weekend, felt very soft to me. Did not seem to notice a change in distance from the V.

I live in CA. so I have had the pleasure of trying the AVX, it is long and has plenty of spin around the greens, however it is no means softer than the Pro V1 or Pro V1x for that matter. I have actually switched from the Pro V1 to the DT as I love the soft feel and I do have more than enough spin on the ball to get it to stop on the greens.
  20. I purchased a sleeve yesterday in AZ. The ball jumped off the Driver. Ten yards longer than my ProVX. Approach shots stuck and putts rolled great. Excellent feel off Driver, Irons, and Putter. I will be moving from the ProV line to AVX when the ball is more commercially available and I can customize. In the interim, I will purchase a dozen at one of the AZ sites.
