  1. ProV1x yellow:

Par 5, second shot, 230+ yards out. My drive was unusually long (270), a fluke, and I normally hit my 3 wood only about 205, but this time I caught it just right, pure - a high, draw, center of the fairway. My partners all heard it and tracked it and went ooooh. It hit the downslope in front of the green. We lost sight of it, but we saw the group in front of us look back. They were just walking off the green. I must have hit into them. Uh oh, not nice, I’m feeling bad. My fault. I should have waited. When we got up close to the green the guys that were on the green were now on the next tee box waiting to hit and I apologized immediately. Ugh...sorry, really sorry, a profusion of apologies. They waved me off, even yelled back, “Nice shot!” I looked in the front bunkers, nothing. I thought I went off the back of the green, nope. The guys on the tee yelled down, “Look in the hole!” This game is easy. My third Double Eagle/Albatross.

Now I have three Hole in Ones (Holes in One?) and three Double Eagles in 30+ years of playing, and they’re all great.

I’ve tried so many other premium and not so premium golf balls, just to see how they play, but I always come running back to Titleist. Pro V1, V1x and AVX, I play them all, and yeah they cost more, but nothing else gives me the same confidence. So glad they came out in bright yellow, so old guys like me can see them better. I hope you young guys that bomb ‘em play these because I love finding your lost balls in the woods when I’m waiting for you and your buddies to hit again. Thank you Titleist. You make fabulous products. I especially love the new 620MBs - they’re just gorgeous.

Im playing in a Tournament of our 4 City Munis against each other for the Encanto Cup Trophy. That years Event is at Cave Creek. The Cave Creek Golfer in my Group is their President and a guy ive "butted heads' with many times over the years. I Ace the 1st hole and go on to shoot the Low Round of all 48 Golfers and we win the CUP on his Home Course. Maybe not my Best Shot, but it sure was fun AND my Team got a big kick out of it.

  5. 1-iron off the pin on the fly at Pebble Beach #6. No albatross, but made the eagle!
  6. ProV1x ball as always. 2nd shot into a short part 4, maybe 155 yds. A little wind from right & into. Took 6 iron, made a smoothish swing, I didn't see it, my 2 playing partners said nice shot. Got to the green, ball resting just outside a foot away. I made the putt for birdie, another playing partner said that's your 5th birdie. I was on that day. That was my best shot ever, and I've had a couple of hole in ones. It was a ProV1x ball hit with a Titleist 6 iron. It felt effortless.
  7. My Very "Fist hole in 1" during my 1st playing lesson with my teacher K. McMahon on Feb. 14, 2018 (my Father's Birthday) at MetroWest Golf Club, Fl using a "No. 1 ProVI "which I received during my 1st ball plant tour with Michale Breed!/Users/marycand/Desktop/IMG_3690.jpeg
  8. May 27, 2017 - Playing the Par 5 fifth hole straight into the wind, had 227 to the pin after my tee shot. When we reached my partner's tee shot, it was OB by about a foot, so he decided to go back to the tee. I grabbed an 8-iron to lay up before he took off. While waiting for him to come back & get me, I decided to change clubs and give it a go since there was water left and right of the fairway where my 8-iron would land if I pulled or pushed it. Grabbed my 3-wood and caught all of it. The pin was just over the ridge across the middle of the green, so we couldn't see where the ball stopped. As we approached the green the ball was nowhere in sight. I figured it had gone over, but another partner was walking on the green & saw the ball mark and started yelling to me. As soon as he reached the hole he went nuts - my ProV1x was in there - Albatross! ALWAYS TITLEIST!

I would have to say my most memorable but definitely not my best would be from May 2 last year. I played at Riverfront Golf Club in VA and I crushed my drive on the first hole and felt great. I was in the center of the fairway and had about 100 yards left. Long story short I skulled the approach shot however it hit the pin in the air and went in the hole. After that hole I played great and ended up shooting 66.

Best shot I've ever hit was in 2012 at the The Mountain course at La Quinta Resort, CA on the signature 16th hole that was 156 yards with a 7 iron. My Prov 1 # 3 went in the hole on the fly and I was stunned. During my round I did not make any pars on any of the Par 4's or 5's all were bogies. I only made three 3's on the par 3's and then the hole-in-one on # 16 an unbelievable hole across the desert with no fairway just a large bunker that wraps around the front of the green and then a very small amount of fairway like 8 feet beyond the bunker. Every now and then I remember the short and I get goose bumps and arm hairs stand on end.. It was my 4th hole-in- one.
  11. About 1 week ago I had 135-140 yards into a front left pin placement in an elevated green. I hit my new T200 9-iron. I flew the pin and my ball landed behind the pin on the ridge and funneled down to about 2 feet for birdie. Couldn’t have done it without my Pro V1x!

I have 2 of them. A hole in one at World Woods, Pine Barrens Course in Brookville, FL over 11 years ago (Image is attached. The course had a hole-in-one award which I had to pay for.) The other is I holed out a wedge on the last hole of the Member-Member (the course is now a development outside of Atlanta) to win our flight by one shot and shoot a personal best 66. I haven’t been able to play golf in over 6 years because of 2 knee replacements and loss of balance (I’ll turn 77 in 2 weeks). I miss being able to play golf with son and granddaughter.

  13. Hole in 1 on the RTJ course at Muscle Shoals Alabama. It was on a buddies trip, hole number 70 out of 72 for the weekend. Great way to finish the trip. Of course since it was the fourth round of the trip it was with a Prov1x #4.

A few years ago, I hit a 245 yard 3 wood shot with my Pro V1X that went in for a double-eagle at Ted Makalena Golf Course.

Do you have a shot that stands out as the best you've ever hit? Fill in the blank and let us know by adding a reply below...

For me, the best shot I hit in recent memory with my Pro V1x was a 2-footer for par on the 18th hole of The Old Course. While the shot itself wasn't anything spectacular, the culmination of that magical experience will be hard to beat for me.

Several years back playing in our Old Pal tournament my partner and I are tied going into 18. My partner and I are both in trouble and our opponents are in good shape. My partner can’t get on and I have to hit a 20 yd hook with a pw. Hit it to 3 feet.... made the putt... went on to win the Old Pal.... Pro V 1x.

My favorite shot was playing a Par 4 in Chicago that was 309 to the hole. I teed off and drove the green then proceeding to one put and make the Eagle on a Par 4.

    Awsome shot I still remember.

I forgot to mention I had been playing the Pro V1x since it first came out and made another hole-in-one with a ball that Titleist doesn’t make anymore (That was in 1983).
