At my local course, Fire Ridge Golf Course (Ohio), I missed my approach shot right on the relatively short par 5, 6th. However right of the green is a hill that rises about 20 feet above the green and a tree that makes any shot from up there near impossible to go high, which is absolutely necessary as the two tiered green slopes from back right to front left. The pin was on the upper shelf which meant I had a landing area that was maybe a square foot big and could only be accessed by going high. From where I missed, I had a large branch in the way of my usual higher greenside shot. I decided the only way to save par was to go over that branch and land it in the impossible landing area. Note my lie is not the best as I sat on a dead spot in the rough. This didn't stop me as I ended up hitting a flop shot over the limb, landing in the tiny landing area and put it to about 3 inches of the hole for a tap in par. It was the best shot of my life, and no one was there to witness it.

Best shot this year was my tee shot on number 10 at Bulle Rock from the blue tees 358yds. I hit My little baby fade over the bunker and took a nice hop and landed just off the green. Putted it to about 16inches and tapped it in for birdie!

After over 60 years of my Golf Journey, I finally experienced a shot to remember. Playing with a group at Lockhaven Country Club in Godfrey, Ill, We were playing #6, 460 yard . par5. after a good tee shot, leaving us about 185 yards out, I hit a flushed #4 iron toward the left center of to green. We could not see the ball land due to the hazy air. Approaching the green, we did not see any ball. After looking for a minute of so, a player on the next tee, yell at us a said "look in the hole ". Sure enough, my Pro-V1 was smiling at me when I picked it out of the hole for an Albatross!!!! Unforgettable moment to say the least,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
