  1. Well, I’ve been fortunate enough to have some awesome “shots” and ProVx has been at the heart of em all. From a few long drives of 350+ in tournaments to pulling off shots when they counted...and My Shot of a lifetime was also the Worst shot of a lifetime.

In 2004 during a while on hole #3 of a 36 hole charity fundraising tournament I pulled off a 15yrd chip/flop type shot on a par 5 for eagle. Now I know what you’re thinking... “ how can THAT SHOT, be you’re best and your worst?!?”...you see as soon as it went into to cup I jumped in the air probably higher than Phil did at Augusta that year and hyperextended/popped my left ACL during the celebration. Yeah, much like Bill Gramatica did....‍♂️

I was either not concerned at the or just loved playing in the tournament that I completed the 36 holes before getting X-rays done....I knew how Tiger felt playing through this injury at Torrey Pines the whole round though.

It was a painful lesson in humility to learn...nowadays if I even come close to anything like that...I act like I’ve been there and give that controlled simple fist pump. (attached is a photo of my team shortly after it happened acting like they took me out )

Although I had a hole-in-one this year on April Fool's Day (yep, really happened!), my best shot with a ProV1 was a lip-out on the iconic, 107yd., par 3, 7th hole at Pebble Beach. Our group was silent/awestruck as the ball flighted directly toward the flag silhouetted against the Pacific background and did a 45* angle lip-out from the cup finishing about 18" from the hole. What a great day and wonderful memory! Thanks Titleist!
  3. I’ve had three memorable hole-in-ones with ProV balls. However my favorite memory is of a 2nd shot hole out from 127 yards on the closing hole at my previous home course. We were finishing up 36 holes and had a pretty good skin game going. We had all four hit tee shots, and I was next up for my approach. One of the group was taking a long time over his shot, so I hollered for him to hit while we were still young. He replied that it was “too late for you”, and proceeded to miss the green. Then I hit mine, and holed out for a deuce. That is my most memorable shot...
  4. My first hole in one with myPro V X - 210 uphill into slight breeze , 3 iron hit left of the and spun back in -1999
  5. 1987 in Fort Worth Texas, I was playing in a golf outing sponsored by the American association of cereal chemists at Fossil Creek golf course. I hit a 6 iron from 185 yds. That backed up into the hole for a hole in one. It was captured on video as the association had a person with a camera taking pictures of golfers making shots in the event and shot the picture as I teed off.
  6. It has to be my third shot of 115 yards from a fairway bunker on a Par 5 at Burnt Pine in Destin, FL. My Pro V1x bounced once past the pin, then spun back into the hole for eagle. My cart partner was already standing on the green for a front row seat.
  7. My 6th hole in one , uphill par 3 # 18 Miracle Hills- Omaha- when I hit it, I said
thats In. 139 yds - 9 iron- Pro v1. Wife of the buddy I was playing with picked it out of the hole.
I said, well everyone gets their name in the local paper and just as quick as a wink, my buddy said, Damn I’m glad I don’t have warrants

Has to be my 3 wood I hit a few years back. Didn't hit a great drive, left myself around 300 into a par 5. There was a group on the green, but I figured, 300 out, I could hit it up to chipping distance. I hate when people wait to hit when they have a 1% chance of actually hitting the green. So i step up and hit the purest 3 wood of my life... 1 hops onto the green, rolls out 20 feet to the pin, leaves me 3-4 ft for eagle. THe craziest part is i split the group who was putting. Rolled right between all of them up to the cup. Best shot of my life

Do you have a shot that stands out as the best you've ever hit? Fill in the blank and let us know by adding a reply below...

For me, the best shot I hit in recent memory with my Pro V1x was a 2-footer for par on the 18th hole of The Old Course. While the shot itself wasn't anything spectacular, the culmination of that magical experience will be hard to beat for me.

Recently, I had the first hole-in-one of my career using a PROV1. After 60+ years of playing it finally happened.
It was on April 23, 2020 at Valencia Golf and Country Club in Naples, Florida. The fourth hole, a short par 3 playing 125 yards that day. Using a nine-iron, it hit about six feet in front of the pin and rolled in. I took the ball immediately out of play and will properly mount it!

Years ago, shortly after the introduction of the then new Tight Lies metal woods, I was playing a par five and had approximately 240 yards for my second shot on a par five. It was slightly uphill and a blind shot. I nail it online but because it was blind had no idea where it landed or ended up. When we arrived at the green no one could find the ball. We looked over the green and, eventually, I notice a ball mark about 20 feet in front of the pin and sure enough it was in the hole for an albatross.....my first of two since then. What an exhilarating experience and rush!
  11. I was playing at Pinehurst #2 with a caddie. I was having a pretty bad day and when we got near a lake I said “I think I’ll just go drown myself”.
He said... I don’t think you can keep your head down that long.

  12. On the 72nd hole of the Middle Atlantic Amateur, I had an albatross, double eagle, with my Titleist ball with a Titleist driver off the deck. Marty West, of Walker Cup fame, was the one who pulled the ball out of the hole. No one actually saw it go into the hole due to the bend in the fairway. We looked all over for it and, finally, Marty looked in the hole! One of my great memories in competitive golf.
  13. Newton Kansas this past weekend. Par 5, driver down the right edge of the fairway about 275. 245 to the hole with a 3 wood 2 feet within the hole.
  14. Probably 10 years ago... 411 yard par 4. My drive ended up 40 yards from pin just off the fairway. Aided by huge tailwind and not the cart path. Barely made par as my short game was garbage. Sad to say it's even worse now.
  15. I was playing hole number 18 and the Omni Tucson National. This was for many years the 4th toughest finishing hole on the PGA tour. I was playing with another member (Micheal Green who unfortunately has passed away) and one of his guests. There was a headwind off the tee and I hit my driver a little too high. The wind grabbed it and pushed it back causing my Titleist ProV1x to land on the right side of the water bank and then roll down and come to rest on the edge. When I say edge, I literally mean 1” of grass and then she would be doing the backstroke. Im a lefty, i had 218 yards, uphill into the wind, and no stance. I pulled out my 3 wood(titleist 913f), took off my shoes and socks, rolled up my pant legs and stepped into the one and a half-foot deep lake water. I choked up to the last piece of rubber. With ball sitting a foot above my normal address, i could see the Titleist black 3 logo starring back at me. With a smooth but firm swing I powered through, striking the ball crisp and clean. That ProV1x shot out of the grass climbing and cutting through the wind like it had a turbo jet engine strapped to its back. As it hit the fringe, it bounced up with a slight spin, coming to rest on the beautifully trimmed top tier of famed number 18 green. As with any perfect shot, I followed it up with an amazing 20 ft birdie putt! I had never heard and have never heard since, the amazing and somehow soul soothing rattle as my ProV1x hit the bottom of the cup!
All the players in the group could say was,”Thats what legends are made of”!
Thank you Titleist for the amazing trip down memory lane!

It would have to be my two holes-in one, both recorded in the same year - 2012 - with Titleist Pro-V1s. Your feature made me realize I hadn't put my commemorative plaques on the wall after moving to California from Utah in 2016. Looks like one of the pieces in the larger plaque (commemorating my first) came unglued, so I'm going to have to get that fixed. One irony to report - both of those holes-in-one were achieved wearing the first golf shoes I ever bought online, a pair of FootJoy Icons which were too small, although I didn't recognize it until I actually played a round, and by then I couldn't return them. If I didn't have such big feet (size 14s, and the shoes were 13s), the shoes would be in the plaque shadowboxes, too. I can't wear them because they hurt so bad. However, I can't get rid of them because my only holes-in-one were achieved with those shoes on my feet.

  18. Mine was exactly a year ago at age 67. With no hole-in-ones, I was playing with 2 men at my home course. One was my age and the other 88. I hit my prov1x to the left side of the down hill hole as it slopes left to right. As it bounced twice and rolled right I did not expect to go in since I had been close many times before. It did and then in July also.
Neither men on the first could see the ball as it went in. So, I celebrated on the green as pick it from the hole.

  19. Playing Merion as a guest along with my boss and his father. I eagled #18 with my Pro V1. I still have the ball in a glass show case. My boss later presented me with the famous Hogan picture on #18 and had a little inscription at the bottom saying "Hogan 1 iron for par. Jones 5 iron for eagle. Priceless"
  20. I had my best shot ever was at Maplegate Country Club with a hole in one on the 8th hole par 3 from 155 yards.
