Having used these test balls in some harsh conditions, I'd like to know what they are?
They have performed very consistently off my TM Driver, Pi irons and O Putter.
Good distance off the tee in windy conditions. Also still a lot of feel off the irons.
Probably not what you want to hear but they have also lasted well over a number of rounds, which is why it has taken so long to leave feedback!

I was given one of the test balls by a friend when we played together last weekend. As a Pro V1 user it was pretty much a comparison between that and the test ball for me. I found that it felt firmer off the driver but I didn't notice much in terms of distance, Chips were not dis-similar to the Pro V1. Putting was a positive. Whether my eye was in and it was "just one of those days" but I thought the ball was great to putt with. I'm playing tomorrow so I'll be trying it out once again.

Thanks for sending me the trial sleeve of three Pro V1's.
Unfortunately, the weather has not been conducive to proper testing of them but I've managed to get out on the course a bit and try them out. I've been impressed with what I've seen.
My ball flight has been good and I've managed to handle the wind quite well. They are responsive when chipping and putting and feel good coming off the club. I've managed to generate a good amount of spin around the green with my wedges and the way the ball performs with my short game is probably the most impressive aspect of the ball. I also think the durability is worth noting. I think I need to play more rounds in other conditions in order to build up a better picture of the distance the ball travels in comparison to its predecessor but distance appears no issue during the rounds I've played so far.
Now just looking forward to getting back out on the course!

Hi David
Ive replied earlier, but not sure it has come through, so i ll try again.
Many thanks for including me in the testing process.
The feel off the wedges i felt couldnt be improved upon, but was surprised to find that there was. Also, the feel off the putter face was and always has been unique, and unmatchable, but there is also a softer feel on these test balls.
I use a Motocaddy when i play, and use the distance function to monitor my clubbing.
The driver is 7 yards longer ( measured over an average of 25 drives )
And using a launch monitor,my 6 iron carry was increased by 4 yards.
Overall, great improvemnets, well doneTeam Titleist.

The distance is very similar, I felt the ball was a little softer on the shorter shots and there is plenty of spin. Overall an improvement on what was already a fabulous golf ball. Well done Titleist.

Please leave your feedback in this discussion post. New model prov1x feels softer and did not appear to scuff or mark as much as previous models. I found it reacted well on greens when hitting full shots but I am still working on getting the check on chip shots(think it maybe time for a new vokey). Overall I was impressed and will continue to use the prov1 x, keep up the good work!!! Cheers

Although I did not receive any test balls, I have only heard good things from others who did receive balls, hopefully they will be on the market for me to test out soon meanwhile go #teamtitleist

I have only tried the balls with the Scotty on the putting green! Im going to spain with the clubs for 3 days before christmas and will leave feedback on my return!
My course is constantly waterlogged over the winter so cannot gauge distances etc accurately!
Cheers Todd
Keith Hcleland,
Ron HGravesend,
Having used the test ball over the past few weeks I would say it is very similar to the current Pro V if not a little softer.
all good and same flight characteristics with no major differences to Pro V
all in all a good ball

Hi Guy's
Firstly, thank you for allowing me to try out the prototype ball.
I have just tried it out this weekend. The first few holes the ball appeared to be a harder type than the origional Pro V1 and the spin rate seemed lower, probably due to me warming up on a cold morning . Generally it does seem to go a little further and a more receptive core so it does seem to have a greater spin rate with a wedge etc.
Overall, I was very please with the new ball and eagerly await it's introduction, anything to help a struggling single figure handicapper.
Best regards,
Tim.

I have been using the Test Balls at periods over the past 4 or 5 weeks. First impressions were very good, the ball looks and feels great - I presume that it is the latest Pro V1x, which for some time has been my favorite ball. I have now used (and lost) 2 of my balls; the first one lasted for 50 holes and the 2nd for 65 holes. This for me is an excellent return and on that basis alone it shows an immediate improvement in consistency (I probably loose on average 1 ball per round). In particular I felt the ball helped my long game, definitely straighter and I believe longer (though not the best time of the year to test distance). I think that the short game will also be better, but again with the very wet conditions at the moment it's difficult to judge this properly - I may keep the final ball for a winter holiday in South Africa.
In summary, I'm very pleased with the ball. Thanks so much Titleist for letting me try it.

like the test balls you sent found them to be similar in feel to the pro v1x but think they fly straighter, looking forward to trying them with my 915 which I've taken delivery of this very day.....

2nd Review of the new balls.
Conditions were perfect - dry if slightly cold and greens very receptive.
Hit the ball very solid with the new balls and noticed quite a bit of spin around the greens. Distance wise i found the ball slightly longer than normal but not as much as the previous test (believe it may have been a slightly warmer day).
Flight was very true with little left / right spin on the ball. Putting - there was a very solid and true feel and again was past the hole on quite a few occasions. The ball stood up to a bit more abuse but i did manage to mark it slightly with my wedge but it was a minor paint chip - didn't leave one blemish on the ball during the 1st test.
Very nice ball to play with. Would recommend to all.
Struck the ball very well & scored well which was pleasing. 1 under gross - very very happy with that.
Thanks again Titleist

General feeling from playing with the test ball compared to the ProV1X usually played is that it flies a little higher but with no loss of distance. Nice feel off the putter and on short stuff around the greens.
